Mikey Bates
so my tale gate has some issues with moving a lot lol. there is peal and seal right now ( yes yes i know before i smartened up) the P/S stopped rattle. and added like 50000lbs to the gate lol. but the issue is the panel on the inside. my port is facing it and it just flexes it like a mother! and my tailgate itself moves like the latches are perfect as no car is and yeah. . . so my question is. what if i take the pannel off and make a panel with some mdf. itll be more solid and maybe boost db? because the sound wont be distrubed as much by the wobble shit panel. and will reflect more off the solid 3/4 mdf?? thoughts?? p.s. i know the P/S is POS lol. old mistake. anything done in the future will be alpha damp by SS. . . KillaCam
Yeah I don't understand you either. All I'm understanding is that you have a floppy panel? And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth.. chiefofmytown
Putting up a sheet of MDF would help. Give something better to reflect sound off of and create a cushion for the rattling. Just make sure it isn't fonna b an extra source of rattle. Soften out the corners where u mount it and tighten it really good. Will NOT help DBs. TheBetterMethod
I've got the same issue. I'm considering laying fiber glass over the panel to stiffen it. But, I've never glassed, and I'm not sure how to proceed. I think MDF would be pretty heavy. And I'd be concerned about the struts being able to keep the hatch open. 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon Pioneer 9400BH Fi Q 15, SAZ1500dV3 The first build>>> http://www.stevemead...-outback-build/ 140.9 @ 36hz Sealed on dash! Socky
upgrade them to stronger ones. Not hard to remove. Jeeps always have the strut problems, they are temperamental.
