looks like a great little box for them. I'm interested in how they would sound if I did 2 sealed in trunk along with my 12 ported

Sealing up the SA-8 v.2 is really not a good move for them -- the motor is far too powerful for sealed.

I am working on a new model, SD-2 8, that will do very well sealed.

Will power handling be similar to sa series?

hey it looks like those 8s are real close to the center console. They dont hit at full excursion do they?? that would be badd. About your box, it looks quite adequate. Like that port work too. I have a hard time finishing up the cosmetics on my boxes too. Im too interested in the sound. All/most speaker builders and zic lovers dont ever finish their works lol.

Crandis16, make sure that if you have all your subs in one box, you need to partition the 8s from the 15. In other words, make sure the 8s have their own enclosures, separate from the 15. Otherwise, the wave length(s) of the 15 can mess up/damage the 8s, either mechanically, or musically, or both. But I like using small subs with large ones, you get incredible SNAP, and the smooth deep LOWS. I love that setup 4sure.
