CleanSierra
I'd say enclosure plus how you seal it off will be 2 most important factors in getting the build loud. Any high power sub tuned high will suit your needs. No cause to suggest brands for this scenario yet. I would be happier moving a little air down low if doing only a single 12 build. I'd tune low and have the WOW factor of a car that destroyed the lows, rather than try to chase numbers from the trunk of a mustang. If you JUST want to challenge then I understand. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
TylerParrish
Getting loud on a single 12" in your car isn't easy. I'm assuming you're running the Mustang that's in your profile pic? I wouldn't expect monster numbers from a single 12" I'm the trunk. yes that's the car, and i know they're difficult to get loud, but what most on this site would consider loud and what i would consider loud are probably different (the loudest system ive heard to date is....mine) What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?2013 Kia Forte Koup Pioneer AVH-X4600BT iDMax 12 DD M1c @ 2 ohms Rockford Prime 200.2 Pioneer 6.75" Comp Set XS S3400, D2700 Project DB Battery Terminals Axxess ASWC Stinger HPM Everywhereeee 90 Sq. mikelbolton
Was running 1 Alpine Type R 10, on a 600W RMS Pioneer amp. Metered 126 with boomstick. Probably not the most accurate, but was decent for 1-10. mikelbolton
I'm not necessarily out to impress anyone, but metering gives me some idea where I'm at. Then I started looking for ways to improve my setup... For example. the current box is too small, so I wish to build a new one. Although, the impedance rise from the small box is probably what is saving my subs from being overpowered. I also checked voltage and seen it drop to mid 11V, so I need a batt and alt. ;-) I see you're in NB, if you were closer, I'd let you use the boomstick... Again, I know it's not a professional SPL, but it gives you an idea of where you're at 2011 Chevrolet Aveo(click for build log)Clarion NX-603SKAR 4500.1DIraggi 320A alt Knukonceptz 1/0 Kollosus Fleks Cable8 AWG Sky High Car Audio OFC 1/0- Sky High Car Audio 2- XP3000 XS Power BatteriesSMD VM-12- 12" Ascendant Audio Mayhems Toolmaker Fuse block Toolmaker Bus Bars (Last Season scores 1-15" Mayhem) 145.2 dB- Sealed @ NSPL World Finals (9/28/14) 148.1 dB- Hardcore @ NSPL World Finals (9/27/14) 150.23-- Hardcore on 4500 Watts!!!!
