Sosebee Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 I'm going to upgrade the audio in my boat and put an amp and new speakers. My question is on a boat what would be better, OFC or CCA. I know OFC is oxygen free copper, and I was thinking oxygen creates oxidation and being oxygen free would be good for a boat. But CCA is wrapped in aluminum and aluminum Corrodes a lot slower from what I've read. I maybe wrong. But I live in south Texas and go out in salt water. I'm not sure where would sell it in the states but a quick google search should set you right i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. CleanSierra Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 My older Fosgate OFC was tinned also. For the price, that Knu will be hard to beat. You REALLY should looked at tinned to avoid corrosion. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
