TylerParrish
was looking at replacing my current cca cadence with some welding cable...are they any disadvantages to this? Or should i just stick with car audio cable even if its about double the price per foot? soundstream15
welding cable is very good, it will def do better then the wire your using now..there isn't really much of a difference, welding cable will handle more heat. more people will chime in, im running running welding cable from alt + to batter +
Nate Futuristic
i had 3 runs of cca power and 3 runs of cca ground (from the front to back ) voltage was fine OFC will handle more heat/power per foot but unless your going to be in the lanes trying to sqweez every tenth of a DB out of your system id say just add another run of CCA i always found it funny how everyone hates on CCA but AQ and other brands use ALUMINUM voice coils.... if you still plan on running 3500+ rms either pull it all out and go OFC or add another run or two of CCA for good measure down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups ^^ Cant wait to swalllow Ghost's babies

lifted_silverado
I've run 3/0 flex a prene welding cable and was more flexible than alot of good audio wire i've seen. Its not comparable to KNU or kicker wire but it does a good job Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. New build should be coming soon in a dodge cummins

Also, not everyone wants to try to fit multiple runs of wire through their car. truth but i have OCD and for every batt i need a run of 1/0 lol it is a bitch to cut/find places to run alot of wire that isnt as flexible as most OFC but oh well ive seen it work for ground pounder's AND number chaser's just gotta do your research down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups ^^ Cant wait to swalllow Ghost's babies
CJ18
I have over 400' of 2/0 welding cable in my truck and it works great. www.weldingsupply.com has the bet prices I have found. The 2/0 welding cable is about the same size and the Knu OFC 1/0 also. Left to right. Knu 1/0 OFC, Knu 1/0 CCA, 2/0 Welding Cable, 1/0 welding cable. TylerParrish
I doooo plan on running 3500 + watts and that's why I'm trying to prepare myself for it. And in my car, the less cable the better because i really have no way of running 1/0 gauge through my car without hacking away at some of the body. Soooo i should look into 2/0 gauge welding cable instead of 1/0 gauge? I currently have CCA and it works fine for what I need it for, but I plan on upgrading and I figured the better quality wire would....well, better suit my needs What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?2013 Kia Forte Koup Pioneer AVH-X4600BT iDMax 12 DD M1c @ 2 ohms Rockford Prime 200.2 Pioneer 6.75" Comp Set XS S3400, D2700 Project DB Battery Terminals Axxess ASWC Stinger HPM Everywhereeee 90 Sq.
