LSN2meBoom916
Go big or Go home!? Why would someone want bunch little tens when they can get a BIG 18I mean really.. not too many people get to see 18's and if you say you got a system people like... what you got like two twelves or something.. you'll be like no i got two 18's lol.. wigglez is right, its a WOW factor!! and its basically bigger and if you think, one sub being able to push more air T-R-A-N-S-I-E-N-T------------R-E-S-P-O-N-S-E Generally speaking (apples to apples, same brand and series subs etc etc) 15>18 12>15 10>12 8>10 Just so you know. babyjoker
I see. So I guess the Fi BTL 18'' is best for people with large vehicles such as SUV's, Hummers and trucks. Hmm. I guess it works for cars too but it has to have a lot of space for the box like a wagon. Normal people wouldn't wall off their backseat like meade's honda to put 18''s An Fi BTL 18'' in a car trunk = no way right? i got one in my trunk, got mine for the wow factor mostly, other wise i would have gone with many 12'' or 2 15'' 1999 Eclipse N/T 12'' Fi BTL Gp3000d PM D3100

ChampN252
Not to knock on Meade and his 4 18"s (lucky bastard), but I thought you should get more output from 4 15"s right? The 18"s shouldn't play bass notes much lower and the 15"s should be capable of playing more notes harder. I myself want to do 4 15"s because I cant fix 4 18"s, but I still think the 4 15"s should out perform. And with the MT vs. BTL, how could a sub with a limit (BTL) out perform a sub with no limit (MT). I haven't check lately, but there was not wattage rating for the MT. 2012 Honda Accord Radio: Pioneer AVH-4200NEX
kbreudi
MT>BTLIs this true? Then why did steve swap his out for BTL's...Yea the MT's cost a lot more retail, but are they really better? AI James
its pretty much personal prefference, since RE doesnt throw any information whatsoever out there on the MT and theres so many variations of both subs, its pretty much use specific as to which ones better
