http://www.autogeek.net/ is a great site to buy products from, I spent around $300 getting my polisher, pads, micro fiber cloths and more. They also have a nice forum, as well this forum is great for information; http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/forum.php

I picked the Megs polisher after reading a lot of reviews on the different ones in my price range and the Megs had the best overall reviews. My suggestion since you seem new to a polisher, is goto a junk yard and buy a cheap car panel that is painted, like a hood or trunk lid. It should have enough damage to it being in a junk yard you can see what you are doing. This way if you screw up a $50 panel from a junk yard it's just that panel, NOT your own car. I suggest this because an orbital is NOTHING like a polisher it takes a fair amount of time to learn the do's and do not's of a polisher. While the videos you can watch will show you the methods getting one in your hands and using it is very much different.

I personally use only commercially available products by Megs, simply because I don't want to have to worry about finding what I need if I order something special from a online retailer. I started off by washing the vehicle with a mild detergent to remove the wax, then used Megs Clay bar kit and clayed the entire car. Next, I used Megs M105, then moved on to Megs Ultimate Polish, then after a few wipe downs and inspections for swirls/haze/holigrams moved to waxing in which I used Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax in two nice thin coats. This gave me the best results in my situation, which was a freshly painted car that had cured for 30days.

Overall I would say do your research and take your time, rushing can cause you more pain in the end by messing something up instead of just taking your time and doing it slow, the results are worth it.

Thanks for ur input I've been reading soo much on detailed image and it's definitely recommended to try panels first and to try a panel that has the same type of paint in regards to the hardness and softness of the paint.

Lol I just enjoy detailing. It's a pleasure for me to make something shine and then drive it around. But yeah it's fucking time consuming and I only enjoy it once or twice a year for a car show
