A few pages back I said I was.gonna do the electrical before I.do anything amp wise. I'm keeping the same batts and my singer 350 but will be adding 2 mechman 320's and do the wiring. I know I'm gonna catch hell for saying this but I'm either going with 3+ and 3-runs of shca ofc 2/0 from the front batt and 1 run.to the back from each alt or 12+ and 12- runs of execution audio cca 1/0 from the front batt but I'm sticking with ofc for for the alt runs and the runs to the amps. I havemt had any problems with the small charger. After a few days on the charger they rest at 12.9-13.1. That's 12.9-13.1 of surface charge, you can't charge all those batts off of like .25a of current, seriously. That's why the drop in the rear is so substantial because the surface charge gets torn off and then that .4-.8 drop is them charging. Your stock alt biting it just highlights that as it was charging non-stop, an HO won't last nearly as long as the stockies can run under load far longer as they generate way less heat. Ed has good deals on XS chargers on FB, go get one. 2 runs of OFC 1/0 for each alt positive is plenty to the batt (unless you are running to the rear then 2 is about right as the runs will be like 17'), but just do the grounds to the frame, lots of them and it's way cheaper than another 100ft+ of 1/0. You could get more of the one you have and run them all at once (3 more for 12a total?). I just bit the bullet and dropped $270 on an XS. There has to be some that will do 15a+ for $100, just don't know of one personally.
