It's not as workable as the MDF, but it is so light in comparison. There's nothing worse than trying to manhandle a big MDF box in and out of a vehicle with no help. Buy the birch The MDF will always be there, it sounds like you wanna try the hardwood anyway, so let 'er rip Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
