bighossf150 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I used my dd1 when I first set my amp back in april but I redid my wall since then and must have accidently messed up the settings on the amp because the subs would start to stink after 15-20 sec of playing full tilt, so I went back and reset the gain with the dd1 and now its noticeably quieter, I went from doing a 151.1 before to a 145.3 now after resetting the gain with the dd1. Both times were with the -5db track. It was with the truck off and my 4 chan amp disconnected. Any suggestions? TRTC360 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Do it with the truck running I highly doubt having the truck on or off would make even a 2db difference with insane voltage drop, there's something else going on, can you be more specific with the system? The hu clips at 38 so the gains on the amp were set with the hu at vol 37. Before the gain was around 1/2 and now it is around 1/4 but that is where the dd1 is picking up distortion. It sounds cleaner but is no where near as loud to the ear or the meter. TRTC360 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Sounds like you did something wrong with the wall, subs wired higher, or completely wrong, even if you rebuilt the wall worse then before I don't see a 5db difference. dyablo409 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Check your rca I had one side go out on me and it made it quieter. Just make sure you have signal on both left and right.
