IH8PunkRok Posted September 13, 2012 Report Share Posted September 13, 2012 so the screen is longer new charge port (8 pin vs 30) 720p front facing camera same back camera retina screen iOS6 but the most interesting thing is the processor. they say it is the new A6 processor but they say nothing about it other than it is 2x as fast. upon doing some research i found it utilizes the ARM Cortex-A15 architecture. This has potential of anywhere from 1.0-2.5 GHz clock speeds. Right now in the end of quarter 3 there are three in use that clock 1.7 GHz dual core and two 2.0 Ghz dual core so in typical Apple tradition i predict it to be a 1.5 GHz dual core. hopefully they release more info soon. 79 cutty Posted September 13, 2012 Report Share Posted September 13, 2012 Maybe just my opinion, but not worth the upgrade, especially when you tack on all the accessories or adapters you would need to change out due to the new dock pin. I was very pleased making the jump from a Blackberry to the Iphone4S as it is such an easier phone to use for both work and personal.....but I am not seeing anything on the new phone that really screams needing to upgrade to it. Kind of a letdown for Apple IMO. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.
