ALPINE408
buy a bigger amp the liitle bit of added power of a 1200 watt amp at .5 ohms is not worth the current draw you will face a bigger amp at 1 ohm will most likly pull less current and give ya more power 5 Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown? ChevyBoy95
the extra draw will be a big jump, and the power increase will be small. cmegorm250
Just curios how box raise would play into this ? I have no clue how box raise works.
HunterJohnson
Box rise is calculated at certain frequencies and is really used in spl bc you can tune a box to a certain frequency and minimize the box rise. Musically bass plays all different frequencies so you won't notice "box riSe" Quote Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
Jordan Guess
you could spend the money to buy a second AQ amp to strap it and ACTUALLY SAVE $, rather than doing the electrical upgrades necessary to run something so small on .5 ohm. although upgraded electrical is always going to be good. an added point....your electrical that you have will probably be fine for two of those AQ's strapped at 2 ohms, if im wrong somebody else can chime in on that.
