i have 2 american legacy 15" 800w 4ohm(junk i know) in separate boxes. someone offered to trade 2 12"extreme 400w 4ohm subs in a powerplay box. i like 12s because of the sound quality. i'm driving a little grandam so i think the 12"s will fit better in the trunk. but do you think the trade will be worth it?

I personally think your best bet would be to save up some $$$ and purchase yourself some nice quality subs like FI,DC,AA etc... They will make you MUCH happier than trading some low end 15's for a set of low end 12's

The size of the woofer =/= determine sound quality

I though I agree with LT.Smoke, save up for a good quality brand for a huge difference

Honestly, obsidian audio, sundown, fi, and audioque all make some great budget woofers. I think you would be happier waiting until you could get something better vs. Playing with turds.

It's like if you have a lemon car. It only starts 50% of the time and pisses away more fluids than a newborn baby. Would you trade it for another equally awful car or would you bear with it for some time longer until you can get a better one?

just keep the 15"s an save ur money for some good quality subs.

I agree with zydrix. 15s are more boom for your buck most likely.

I've learned you certainly get what you pay for when dealing with car audio.

Keep the 15's till you can afford better... unless if space is that big of an issue for you
