wellington
prime example, Kicker CVR 12 Retail $139.99 But I can order 1,000 of these with no kicker logo from a build house for a little more than $20.00 Kicker adds on the fancy logo and a wicked rubber boot on the magnet and walla, $129.99 retail speaker. Label-less kicker CVR http://www.alibaba.c..._subwoofer.html lies!!!! and i get those kicker cvr for $120 a pair not $129 each like you posted.. "and are doubling to quadrupling they're money on each one sold" wow if they are double-ling or quadrupling the money on a cheap sub, that only proves this sub is even cheaper than i thought. . by what you posted it means that company gets the sub for $14.75. i dont think that covers material plus labor Yes, on those kickers. Other than slight laziness in the building of the vvme's, they are much better quality. 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club

Real96SS
This thread is hilarious. I respect all angles on this. If a guy wants to run what most think are cheap woofers and he's happy let him be happy. Guy thats happy says it does a 150 but doesnt put up a video.....Fail. You want people to stop talking crap post the video cause one of you said it did a 150 on the TL and a 152 on the AC. We all know that these imported no matter the brand doesnt cost anywhere near what their selling for. I know of brand X selling Chinese made subs for $400.Do you think thats what they paid? xPhobiazombie
I absolutely love this thread. I completely agree with that kicker situation and how they can make loads of money. It's completely true and happens with a ton of products. That's why I would never buy popular brand name items.
purplesyrup
i like this site lol. too bad i cant buy anything without having a semi truck drop a shipping container into my driveway. Thats why you invest in it, create a brand name to slap on it, advertise heavily, pay youtube people to back the brand, and then start trash talking all the other brands and manipulate side by side comparisons to make them look better. leaving out all variables. Then there you have it, your new hyped up Internet brand, all you have to mess with is gluing on your brands dustcaps, putting on the rubber gasket and branded magnet boot, then retaping the box it came in back shut. put a huge mark up on it so you can pay for more advertising, and the occasional hookers, then ship it out. Once you've sold out you do a presale because everyone is waiting in line for them because they are so revolutionary based off of the incredible youtube footage and hype you created under 15 different usernames in the forums, then once you've presold enough to pay for another huge quantity order so your out nothing out of pocket, that you will likely get cheaper than the last shipment due to the demand you've created you need to buy more units than last time and factor in the percentage of people who will have drivers fail and have to buy another one due to "over powering it" because everyone notices the sub barely moves on its rated power the company claims its made for, so therefore there will be no warranty coverage due to overpowering, forcing failed drivers to have to be re purchased and not covered by a warranty, so that will help for even lower the production costs. Now at this point your really starting to make money, so you can start to invest in experimenting, start buying giant different sized magnets that hold huge voice coils, different basket designs that have been on how many different subs already, cone materials and and spider materials, now start gluing and bolting those together and testing them out, once you find a combo that performs in your area you hope for you consult with your chinese manufacturer to build your design, but you need to be sure and use any new innovations seen on the manufactures that lead the industry with constant new technology to keep them up to date. And now you are officially But not really, because you have your costumers trapped in an endless circle of having to replace or recone your subs frequently, since they are coming from china, your running into quality control issues, metal parts in where the voice coil is, poor gluing so things are separating because the chinese person that was doing the gluing in that assembling area could not afford to eat for 3 days so his hand was really shakey and missed a few spots. Also not winning is the nice percentage of the American dollars spent are getting sent back to china to have more assembled by underpaid workers, rather than staying in the US which takes chunks out of our economic growth, you might have spent more money having it made here, but at least the person that made it had Mc donalds for breakfast, subway for lunch, and will have time to enjoy a home cooked meal with they're family. Natsuru
These last few pages are the greatest thing I have ever seen since the dawn of time Alright, but i've got a few questions for you guys, and i'm probably not going to be happy with the answers 1. Those spec sheets say one of their woofers has a sensitivity of 98db or something, truth, or crap? 2. I found somewhere online that sells funky pup dustcaps, will these fit on the ebay woofers? 3. Is it possible to buy these.... knockoff? woofers without needing a warehouse to store them? Oh, and to whoever said it, I LOVE importing knockoff Oakleys and Beats from china The Oakleys are more or less the same, but the lenses aren't coated with that scratch resistant crap The Beats I order are actually HIGHER quality than the originals (srsly) Did a double blind test and everything! Oh, one last thing, do these ebay woofers only come in 10 and 12"s, or can I get them bigger? 2005 VW Jetta TDIStock headunit(2) Sundown Audio E-15s @ 35hzPower Acoustik BAMF 1250.2 (will be replaced with Cadence mono)GTMat 50mil Sound Dampener http://natsurutech.blogspot.com/
Miguels
okay this could be the kenwood, sony and all the main stream subs... i dont think Rusty and Scott would spend thousands on cnc machines to just make us believe they build subs here in the US. i'll give you that yeah, you can compare to the kenwoods and other stuff but not against DD Fi DC AA SD to name a few. those are other kinds of beast. its not like we are going to go spend $$$ on explodes anyways these subs are junk just like the rest and are not made to handle the power we put our subs through. my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
