rim cleaning

Recommended Posts

I've had these put up in the garage for a while, decided im goning to try and sell them to get the money up for another battery. Seems that something has gotten on them, not sure what it is, almost looks like snail tracks. I've used mild soap and a scrub brush, some of it has come clean but is still very visible, has any one else seen this and what would be a better way to remove this?

Full strength purple power or grease lightning is what I use to clean my rims/tires. Also use it to clean tractor engines when they get really bad off and need cleaning. I'm sure there is a polish or something you can use to get it out though.

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.

yup thats what i would do, the "snail tracks" is actually in the clear coat of the lip, no cleaner is gonna take that off. only way it so sand them down and polish them, IMO will look really good and you should still get what your asking for them :drinks:
