Is your 6th order done yet???

still waiting on selling my t-line :/ it's sitting inside my apartment right now being used as the sub for the sound system. it's just laying on its removable top.

i'll post up all the progress pics and stuff i have of it up tonight. (i've been lazy on updating this log and was kind of waiting till i could have it in my car) but first it's to the sand dunes!

I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro

and then now it's gonna live in my apartments living room for my indoor system.

WP_20130424_002_zps3f714bbe.jpg

but here's something im all excited for!

long story short, i've been looking for some way to build tons of different t-line designs so i can figure out the differences between them and what i like best/will work best in my truck.

so i started looking at smaller subs and found a little 6.5" sub that has about the same fs (35hz) as big subs. which means i can build t-lines that are gonna be in the same (ish) frequency range as i want to build full scale later on.

i found a Tang Band w6-1139SIF, pretty cheap and perfect for what i want to do with it. and turns out my friend had some sitting around so he sold me one of his! (talk about working out perfectly)

so i finally got it in the mail from him and im gonna start some R&D here soon!

well you're getting that kind of echo(y) sound from your t-line right? you won't get that from it being in a 6th order. but so far with my six order i've only had it on 300w and already it seems to be very violent with the air lol there is a ton of port velocity and im worried it's gonna become a factor when i finally give it 800w.

one thing to think about though is that when i took the Teil small perameters from my sa8 the fs was up at like 42 hz if im thinking right. that's way off from the 35.5hz that sundown gives ya on their website. idk if yours is that off but yeah.

you thinking of doing a 6th instead of a t-line?

WP_20130608_001_zps99ca15b5.jpg

and truck totally torn apart

WP_20130626_006_zpse3330d12.jpg

and then i don't have any other photo's of it being finished up. but i'll get some tomorrow!

finished my little tang band (poster board box) done. ended up having too much flex and hurting output so i ditched it.

here's the finished product.

WP_20130606_009_zpsbb74d1a8.jpg

my front speakers sounded horrible so one day i decided to finally figure out how to take my door panels off and figure out why.....and i found this....

WP_20130708_001_zpsc004d2b7.jpg

WP_20130708_002_zps53efecb0.jpg

that's right. stock 1996 ford speakers! lol so i decided to ditch these and take my infinity ones from the rear and put them up front. so now i'm only running speakers in the doors. but man does it sound a lot better.

and then when i have a truck, i use it!

WP_20130718_008_zpsd3d0d24c.jpg

alright so that's all i have right now :P but more is soon to come! and trust me, it's exciting!
