Time to get OFF of the 25 series and put some meat between the metal and asphalt. Sorry to hear about it sir.

On a side note, in the event of an accident, we know the sub box will survive. It's like the little black box.

The sidewall meat isn't totally the issue. The issue is that you can't really tell when the tires have no air pressure because they ride the same with and without air in them. That was what made this issue go from just a simple flat tire to a damaged wheel and a dislocated ring of rubber. Had no idea it was flat until the rear of the truck was shaking around.

Yes, the box's strength is the exact polar opposite of the wheels....lol

Oh man that sux, but with all that weight, that might be expected. Skinny's look good but I coupldnt do it.

i bet that tire's load range isnt meant to be ran on a vehicle that big, looks sick tho

you should get tires from discount tire and buy the certificate with it, you'd get a free tire if it ever blows out like that :good:

damn that lip got fcked :pardon: hopefully you get it taken care of for cheaper than you expect tho

You dont actually get it free. You still have to pay for the tire shipping and the warranty. But its alot cheaper than to pay full price for the tire.

well you come to my store and you dont pay for shipping

everything is free, the only thing you pay and thats optional is the certificate warranty on the new tire

def cheaper than paying for new one, it be under $100 for it. its about $17 for say a $100 tire so if times that 4 its still cheap

Yea I did that with my Altima and those Certificates do wonders!

exactly, i work there so dont get them but if i was a normal customer i would def get them

got a nail in my $500 michelin's that i could fix and paid only $8 for a new tire WITH OUT having those certificates

what brand are those tires? I see people buying 24's, 26's and 28's all the time, spending big bank...... but skimping with the cheap ass "sun-yee" tire's LOL. (not saying you did but in general) Glad you made it home, get rid of those and get some Pirelli's. Oh and pay attention to that tire pressure too! It is hard to tell when you are low on air for sure...

Will a tire pressure monitor system fit under those rubber bands? If so might be worth installing.

it should, it sits in the drop center of the wheel usually so it should be no problem

some wheels have two valve holes aswell one for a normal valve and another for the tpms

OP if you need new sensors hit me up ill hook you up with a set for cheap :drinks:

I had the factory Cadillac sensors on my last wheels. The tire shop I bought the wheels and tires from said they would fit, but that they most likely wouldn't live very long before being damaged by the road because they are so close to the tire. Do you have an option that is lower profile than the factory units?

The tire brand is D Centi. Yes, they are less expensive than equal sized Pirelli tires....as most tires are. But as far as handling and drivability, they are leaps and bounds better than the crappy Nitto tires I used to have on my old 22s. I'm happy with the tires and neither of my issues have been caused by the tire, they resulted in tire failure, but were caused by crappy roads bending the lip of my wheels, losing air pressure.
