Good first car?

hey guys, im looking for my first car, i want something reliable preferably a hatchback like a civic or integra but im open to what you guys think are a good reliable first car for a reasonable price

Get a hatch. Golf or Integra. Cheap on parts, fuel, maint., insurance, etc. And super-easy to get loud for little dough. Owned both cars when I was younger and had simple, loud systems in both. Good cars.

yeah want something that is all open just for audio reasons, just bugs me paying 3 grand for a stock car when my buddy paid 2400 for his car and its got rims exhast and a bunch of other things

i am slightly partial to chevy gmc, so i would look for mid to late 90's tahoes, blazers, ext cab, etc. I know you want a hatchback, but a s10 blazer still gets decent MPG and has some nice room for a big or small install.

but above all, check out whatever vehicle you are looking at thoroughly, there are warning signs for a lot of things showing how the user drove it/drives it. somethings are a crap shoot. check tire wear (relates to braking, cornering, driving habits), oil, age of the car v. mileage (average is about 12-15k a year), check rust, was it a work horse or a daily a to b vehicle, etc. Have it checked out by a trusted mechanic also.

blazers are what i wanted like 6 months ago, but there a little more expensive, i just want something 2 door thats all one cabin, does anyone have any experience with a nissan 240sx

Used cars, you usually get what you pay for. And popular body styles cost more than the one no one wants. I'd rather have an Integra on stock rims than a Kia on ANY rims. Take your time and be patient and the right deal will come along. Think how hard it would be to find a good deal on a good car when I was young....before the Internet.

A naturally aspirated 3/S. Theyre really easy to work on.. with the exception of the electrical system. If you have access to tools and a couple webpages, youre golden. The downfall is that parts (especially aftermarket) are expensive

I love mine. Its a bit heavy, but not a pig. It does pretty well on gas too.. which is surprising with the V6.

Ya gotta love Gay-D-Ms tho. A friend has a Teg with a JDM front end.. sick. Another has a 5th gen 'Lude Parts are cheap, and theyre pretty reliable. On top of that, modding is easy.

Wade, do not go to that website. look up some reviews first. total scam man. Just buy from a private owner. Good luck with your search for a car.
