In a sense, they combine and equal 1 battery. So you can have a small pos up front and a huge beast in the back. Or vice versa. Won't matter how it's done. Sheena = pedobear

Ideally you want an alternator that can output as much (or more) as your total amp draw of all electrical components in your vehicle. Remember, often when you are "cutting cost" or "taking shortcuts" you are also "introducing risk".
