Yeah I was really hoping it would go away when I face them to front and sealed off, or see if sound deadener would changed anything. Nao
Aren't W7's SQ subs, and i recommend facing them forward and sealing it off from the cabin better numbers that way, Also there plenty loud if done correctly i had 2 w6's in a custom ported box @ 31 hz on power acoustik BAMF 5500 watt amp and a audio control epicenter and it killed the lows and flexed everything even somehow pushed out one side of my back windshield. also did 144.2 on TL sealed. Yeah they are SQ subs but basically my goal was to see how loud I could get them since I already had one and could get another one very cheap. Everyone always says JL's cant get loud but I kinda felt like they had it in them so I thought I'd give it a shot. I did face them forward, getting there, stay tuned. They do get loud but i dnt think 150db loud i tried everything i could but never got over that 144 mayb the car but hey i tried it was fun though...I trying to put together a 150+ build now 1 soundstream xxx 18 & crescendo BC5500 that should be fun i just got to get the money together cause im in the Bahamas not much high end stuff setting in the stores everything has to be ordered but keep them vids coming

Yeah I was really hoping it would go away when I face them to front and sealed off, or see if sound deadener would changed anything. How are we tuning both amps? I'm sure you have one amp to each sub.... Look at the sub movements during the frequency duration to ensure both subs are moving at the same direction and same distance.... I've have similar issue with my AQ HDC3 10's in the past... end up being both subs have different motor size gap lol. I even tried my buddys Orion 2500 on the two subs and it still did it so I'm pretty sure there were standing waves in the trunk when the subs were facing to the back. cjvue
Could be the car but I still think it could be sub/box. I've tried two different boxes and few different amps with similar output so ended up taking those subs out. If it doesn't bother you then it's fine. But that shit drives me nuts because it's really loud on certain notes and then quiet suddenly. BassHead810
I got a great hookup with some SecondSkin deadener through a friend of mine. I did the trunk lid first to see if it helped and it made a big difference. I gained a dB at the low 17hz note and greatly reduced the rattles. Went to one show with the subs facing the rear, did a 144.8 @ 18hz NSPL Car Hardcore. Someone at the show managed to get a vid. The trunk lid was still shaking pretty bad during the lows even after 2 layers of Damplifier pro on lid. It caused a bolt to come loose inside the trunk lid and you can hear it rattling in the video lol Event results... http://www.termpro.com/asp/officialevent.asp?EventID=12515&Method=1027 My 150+ Trunk Build Log Current Setup2 DC XL15's Crossfire XS-8K AudioControl Epic-150Mechman 250 amp altXS D3100 under hood 2 XS D3100 in TrunkSecondSkin Sound Deadening - 120+ sq ft Damplifier Pro2012 North American Street Stock Runner-up - 150.9 on 1800 clamped watts 2013 dB Drag Street Trunk World Champion - 153.9 on 3200 clamped Watts 2013 MECA Trunk 1 World Champion - 152.8 Headrest 2013 MECA Park & Pound 2 World Champion - 130.6My youtube channel (click for Hairtricks) Team dbAddicts Team DC Audio dcsoundlab.com

BassHead810
Got them sealed off pretty good. First test did 146.9 sealed on the dash at 51hz on about 1800 watts. Still on stock electricalThe pic above shows the two port plugs I made from wrapping a carboard tube with tape till it was a snug fit. The tube is also filled with foam underneath the tape. This drops the tuning from 45 to about 33hz for daily.
