It's a wall, each side close to 4 cubes. slot port in the center tuned to 33hz. EDIT: I don;t think it's the box as when I switched amps the opposite woofer stopped moving. Also I remember having the suspect amp hooked up by its self before and there was barely any bass. So the rca's might not be the problem. will check them tomorrow, after that I guess i'm down to trying a new fuse. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
fox_racin4 Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 Unhook the sub from said amp, take your DMM and see what kind of AC voltage you get from the amp, The speaker outputs are supposed to be paralled inside, they MAY not be and only 1 set works on your amp, How are your RCAs hooked up? 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole

Main set of RCA's coming from HU go to first amp (Working) then a set of jumpers from first amp to second. So I set my DMM to AC voltage and play a tone? Trying each speaker output with sub disconnected? Positive probe to pos and neg to neg? I get confused with it sometimes... My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
Amart88 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 UPDATE: Sorry to double post but I just went out and checked my RCA's, they were fine, I took my dmm on a 40 hz tone and checked my speaker outputs on each amp. (woofers connected) The working amp showed 3.33 volts solid and the suspect amp was showing 0.1-0.7 of a volt fluctuating back and forth. It also showed 0.3 and slowly went down to 00.00v once. So now I guess it's figuring out whats causing the amp to do this. Crescendo said they tested it all over and it was working 100% perfect. So the problem must be on my end. The ground for each amp is on the same buss bar, one on the top and one on the bottom of the same bolt. So maybe its my power cable not letting enough amps through (bad fuse)? Can I take the fuse out of the other cable and try it in this one? Sometimes when I put the fuse back in it sparks, I just don;t want to fry anything. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
alaskanzx5 Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 when changing the fuse disconnect the battery that will stop the spark. and if i read that right you hace both amps gounded at the same spot? if so try moving one of the amp grounds to a different spot. i had an issue like this with my t1500.1bdcp sent it in and rockford side it was fine when i got it back i hooked everything up and it wasnt working moved the ground and it worked fine. the amp wasnt in protect and was on it just wasnt a good enough ground i guess. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
MrSkippyJ Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 How did you jump the RCA cables? F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Amart88 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 How did you jump the RCA cables? Main RCA's come from HU to first amp then 2 foot set of RCA's go from 1st amps output to second amps intput rca. Not the strapping one. @ alaskanzx5, Ok, thats something i could try, I can;t really disconnect my batteries as there are 3 of them in paralell with a ton of grounds and seperate bus bars so its not worth the hassle. Will that spark hurt anything? My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
MrSkippyJ Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 Are you sure the RCA output isn't bad on the first amp? F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Amart88 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 Are you sure the RCA output isn't bad on the first amp? I don't think they are bad as I switched the main RCA's to the bad amp and it still don't work. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
