soundstream15 Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 So I plan on getting a 01 ford focus zx3 and its a hatchback, should get it in the next week but where do you ground the amp in this car? I never had a hatchback so not sure how different they are compared to trunks

It is a solid ground and is always best to use a bolt instead of screwing into bare metal. yes both of those places work for a ground but neither are a better ground then the frame. if your gonna do it and the info is there on what is best which is provided by who i would say is the most informed person on this forum about car electrical systems then why not listen to it? why do it the easy way and possible have a loss of output or sq when you could have done it right the first time and be done with it? the info is there for everyone to see and learn from so make the better choice and make sure your wiring is done right the first time. i didn't know then what i do now so now i have to spend more time redoing some of the wiring. the way i see it is those that are ignorant are those that don't know but willing to learn, those that are stupid are not willing to learn. do it as you want but remember the choice you make is what determines if your ignorant or stupid. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
