I saw his screen when he was checking his email in class and saw NyteSnyper (or something like that). I liked the way it sounded, so I ended up using it a couple of years later when I started playing Halo and Unreal. I just gave it the propper spelling and then 1337ed the vowels (I thought it was cool at the time).
