Herokight Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Sorry if wrong section, there's just so many questions to ask that I wasn't sure where it fit. Depending on what happens with my current injuries and such, if/when I can drive again I'm going for straight loud/clean on my next build. What are some tips ya'll can give me? I'm thinking of getting a hatchback or suv, not sure yet but I'll probably do a rear seat delete either way. If I have the space I'm looking into 4 18" Mayhems on 2 BC5500s in a sub up/port back configuration. I'm not looking for anyone to build it for me, just advice and input for when I start crunching the numbers. There's a lot of "if"s up in the air right now, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'm just curious as to what that set up would take. Electrical, size, etc. Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. Molliboo $200 for new tires, on a jeep!? Is she stealing them or building them with a heat gun and rubber bands? You hear that????That's a category 5 shit storm coming n8: hey you doing today. ChevyBoy95 Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Electrical: -300a Alt -4-5 D3100's (or comparible) and a decent starter battery -150ft of 1/0 OFC but also depends if it is daily or not. Daily you dont need as much electrical since you wont be burping tones. Herokight Posted November 10, 2012 Author Report Posted November 10, 2012 It would be my daily. I was worried I'd have to find room for more batts than that. The electrical is what scares me the most. If that's no good, the whole system is no good. Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. Molliboo $200 for new tires, on a jeep!? 808faka Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 electrical shouldnt scare you just get a good alt or 2. i got a triple mechman set up in my tahoe and it was the best desicion i ever made. can play at full tilt with lights on and ac blasting while only dropping maybe 0.1 or so hardly anything. its definetly worth lookin into
808faka Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 and if you got a solid alt you wouldnt need the load of batteries so you wont have to worry about room in the back.
Herokight Posted November 10, 2012 Author Report Posted November 10, 2012 That's why I was just doing sq in my last car. No room for dual alts and the strongest one I could find for it was 240amps. I'm not sure what car I'm gonna get. It all boils down to how everything works out and it's probably gonna be a year or more. Just figured since I have so much time I might as well keep myself busy. 808faka Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 well if you planning to do a big system but only can fit 1 240amp alt then i suggest you get a different vehicle because you cant run much power on that.
