audiofanaticz Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 While were on the topic, how's their 1/0 cca wire?? Im using their first batch of wire in my car, I got about 900+ish feet of the CCA 1/0, 4awg and 8awg. I bought it for my truck, but to run decent size amp in my truck I ran a run of pos & neg from front alt to the back in my car, and tossed a fairly new xs power d3100 in the trunk. Im being the hell out of 2 sundown sa-12s powered by a sundown 4500 wired @ 1ohm, and I can have all my vehicle accessories on @ idle and not drop below 12.1volts full tilt (headlights/running lights, interior lights, front and rear heated seats on high, front and rear heat on high, etc). The wire is extremely flexible like all other wires using that style jacket. The strand count is lessor of some wires, but once you do your research and look at the individual strand count wire size, you will see its on par with your more popular audio 1/0 wiring. Just remember, strand count is not everything, more strands of smaller gauge wires, will equal close to less strands of thicker gauge wires, or vice verse. They also have some new wire coming out soon, but cant really speak on that, and it is a ways out before it is due in stock, and for sale. All I will say is its BIG!
Torres Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 i'm also a happy customer. still have some 60 mil for my next truck when i get it, and will be buying more. the stuff i have on my current truck is sticking just fine.
audiofanaticz Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Keep in mind, Audio Technix is a new company, and Coleman is always reinvesting his money made on sales back into his product. He is starting from the ground up offering more and more items, as well as making items better and better. He has ran through several different batches of deadener now, and always improving upon improving. Ive installed the older peanut butter colored deadener in 30 degree weather over a year ago, no adhesion problems, or problems of it falling off like others claimed in this thread. I actually liked this style deadener better than the current, even tho the new stuff is way nicer I was told. To each his own. But when you have a person that dont even apply pressure and use a roller when installing deadener its safe to say any brand you use your going to have an issue with if you dont roll out the air bubbles and just stick it on and call it good enough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6sP8M0QJWg&feature=plcp
Sosebee Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 I have old and new batch of deader in my truck 80 mil and am very satisfied. Also 50 feet of 4 awg OFC in my boat. Very nice when they are only a few cities away and you pay for ground shipping and get it the next day. kirill007 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 I'd spend the money you want to spend on audiotechnix and use it the same amount of money with second skin or sounddeadenershowdown.(i'd go for sounddeadenershowdown, because he has done a LOT of research and always answers in the correct way) Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
