the_garynator
Figured I'd post these up. Found these a while back for a good deal, brought back a lot of memories. how to run 1500rms from 8ga lol Now for the guts And some higher quality pictures my roommate took of them: They are class A/B amps. Specs: 40w RMS at 4ohm 600w RMS at 2ohm 1200+w RMS at 1ohm These are at 12ish volts. Other people have said that they do 1500+ at 1ohm on 14.4v. I haven't clamped them, but I plan on it once I get a chance. Also, if you notice the strange fuse config, it turns out they've been modified so that they are stable (they were notoriously unstable at high output) for music and such. That's the design...it's like a bowling ball type paintjob. I used to think they were ugly, but they've grown on me over the years. It also helps that they're kind of legendary Current Build: Project Flexington: 157.6db @ 37hz Parallel 6th order walk through, DC Neo Elite 18s, 4 DC 5.0ks, JY Lithium, 12 banks of XS Caps Old Builds:150db and HAIRTRICKs from 2x 12" Power Acoustik Mofos (6th order blow through) ;<p>Roadmaster Wagon Build - DC LVL 6 M3, Kicker Warhorse ; Godzilla swapped 240sx ; 6th Order Bandpass Alpine Type R 12 ; Fully loaded DC Level 5 18" 240sx

the_garynator
Nice find! Any details on the mods? Curious what they did to help stability. wish i had more details on the mods...I asked around the area (these were rather popular around here back in the old days) and one of my friends that competed heavily back then said the strange fuse configuration was because they were modded for stability. I know they're stable because I ran one for a few months and beat the tar out of it. Maybe someone with experience in amp modding will pop in and take a look. I'll see if I can track down more info from some of my friends, as now I'm getting a bit more curious myself.
