SA-12 Enclosure

The sub can be arguably used in ported or sealed with an EBP around 50, I wouldn't recommend sealed except in all out SQ setups, in fact the SA-12 wouldn't be my first choice for a SQ setup, TC Sounds, Acoustic elegance, Fi, SSA, AA are better for that (properly setup).

That seems.like.more.port area than you.need. i just built box.for.my sa12 and sean from sundownonly said 24sq" of port area

Port area depends on tuning frequency and power so it is not a one size fits all number, anyway those 6 square inches (or so) are a small difference, the performance an the size of the box wouldn't be very different.

thats a lot of port, only really need about 11-12" of port per cube. when i built my girlfriends box for a single SA-12 i did it right at 1.97 cubes, 11.89" of port per cube, and tuned to 33.95hz

if i can find the design i will gladly give it to you, does great on the lows

mind you, its on an mbquart 1000.1 @ 1 ohm in this vid sop maybe seeing 500-600w, i ended up stepping it up to the 1500.1 and it does work
