Not much tonight. Had about 30 minutes, so I sanded this real quick, this is the second coat.

And then put a final coat on the insides and the top. This should sand down well and nice and smooth.

We'll see what tomorrow holds for time. Oh as you can see also, I finally cleaned off the workbench a little. Really just placed it in different spots. I need more shelves in the shop!! I may try and get the enclosure back in, and then make the brackets for this piece. Then I could work on the rear deck trim panel. But we'll see. Still lots to do and not much time to do it in.

Good night!

That is a fantastic looking box! I wish I had those skills! This my favorite build on the entire site, a lot because of 8th gens. Keep up the great work man!

what kind of hardener are you using with the rage

Whatever came with it. it's a blue color. I bought this off Amazon. I'm about half way through, and I figured last night I might as well order another one becuase I'm gonna need it. Actually I'm probably going to run out of hardner before I run out of actual rage.

Thanks buddy I appreciate those words, and I appreciate you being in here.

So what to look for tonight guys, I'm going to sand down the port, and see if I can get a coat of filler primer on it. Probably not much, but that's how my week days go.

Ok so no progress last night. Dealt with kid stuff, homework, trouble, etc, and then worked my other job.

Tonight/This afternoon, I'll for sure get the port sanded.

I also think i have the tablet mount licked!!! Have a great Idea, I just need to see if I can get a long (6") of really thin metal from somewhere. It would need to be a strip, like 1/8-1/4" wide, and maybe 1/16" thick. Like I said, thin! Anyone have any ideas, let me know.

Lastly, Borris the Blade came though. He's sending out a jasper jig today. I'll be making circles sometime this weekend or Friday night depending on when it gets here. I'm excited!!

Oh almost forgot, I got my DEI 528t's Monday for the actuators. I just need some time to sit down and wire it all up in a nice confined box.

More to come!!

So I was thinking about things at lunch, and this is the list I've come up with to be playing by Auto Rama in February, if anyone is intrested:

  1. Finish Sub Amp Rack
  2. Finish and Install Battery Racks
  3. Build Fuse Panels
  4. Finish and Install Sub Enclosure
  5. Finish External Port
  6. Finish Rear Deck Trim Panel
  7. Wiring
  8. Tuning

This doesn't even include installing any mids and highs, or mids and highs amps, or even the 3sixty.3. Not sure if I'm going to even be done with all this above. OUCH!!!
