No, I had wayyyyyy too much going on today. Started out the day with my daughters softball assessments. First time ever trying out for softball. I am a baseball/softball nut. Been one since I was able to pick up a bat. Came from a baseball family. All the girls play softball. It's like that. Well 9 years and almost a month to the day my daughter sees an email we got about girls fastpitch softball. Mommy Daddy, I think I wanna play softball. I've wanted to play since i saw daddy play, and I wanted to be just like him, but I think I'm ready to try it now. TEARS IN MY EYES!!!!!!!!!! (Those of you who are fathers to girls you completely get this!!) So, last week, I got her a bat, a glove, batting gloves and 2 dozen waffle balls. We've been practicing all week. Today was the day. She was number 14, but some girls were protected, so she was about 8 girls in. They get 5 pitches to hit out of a machine, they take 3 ground balls, and 3 fly balls. That's it. Out of the first 7 girls, she was the only one to hit all 5 balls, fielded 2 of 3 ground balls cleanly, one that she stopped in front of her, then picked up and threw to first! All 3 throws to first were on a line, well for the most part, but not a rainbow throw or a 2 or 3 hopper to first from the shortstop area. Then she was the only one to actually go after the fly ball in stead of pealing away from them at the last second. Coaches were drooling over her. OH DID I MENTION, she's the only one out of 98 girls in this session (there were 2 sessions for tryouts) that had NEVER played softball! THAT'S EFFING RIGHT!!! My baby girl went out there like a bawse and OWNED THAT SHIT!!!!!!!!! PROUD PROUD PAPA RIGHT HERE!!! So that was my morning. To celebrate, my family took me to lunch for helping her get ready. Then I spent the afternoon with my family for my grandparents 65th, YES SIXTY FIVE YEARS, Anniversary. So nothing today to say the very least. Tomorrow is football day and I have to work my part time job while I watch the games working on files, cause remember I lost money going to the new job. So I'm hoping I can get out to the shop tomorrow night. We'll see what kind of mood I'm in after the Niner vs Seachickens game. Hopefully I'll be happy and excited to go to the super bowl! I'll leave that there. So I'll get some stuff done this weekend for sure, MONDAY IS A HOLIDAY WOOT, but we'll have to wait and see how much. Borris The Blade Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Thats awesome that your daughter dominated the tryouts! Man I cant wait till spring so my little guy can play ball. Not sure how well he'll do since it's t-ball and he hates the tee, he's been hitting pitches since he was 3. Sucks that USPS screwed up. Was hoping to see my jig enjoy some sunshine in cali lol. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.

I only ask she does her best! Borris, man it's all good. Shit happens. I appreciate you making it happen. I can't believe they sent it back that quickly. Especially if it was tracked, there should've been some notification to you of the problem, and a chance to double check everything. That's the government at work for ya. Anyway, don't sweat it.
