8ight
The T/S parameters reveal these are beastly subs. The slight (and I mean slight) reduction in sd has not trashed the specs (in fact they are improved yet again) and will certainly not affect performance. Any time you try something new people are gonna hate on it or criticize it because there are reasons things are done another way, obviously, that is why you have to forge on and innovate. I respect that majorly and I wish I could find some side work installing because I'd love to try some of your products. PapaGeno21
What is the price point of the 15" going to be? Estimate is all I am looking for. Under 400? Under 500? Would one work in a 4 cubes after displacement box ported at 34? Thanks! Thanks! from what i've heard, the Z series is usually a low end favoring sub. posted before: Box Models : 3 cubes @ 30 Hz ported = F3 of 25 Hz fairly flat 4 cubes @ 35 Hz = F3 of 28 Hz / peak of ~5 dB around tuning 2 cubes sealed = F3 of 50 Hz / Qtc = 0.530 Edited December 7, 2012 by Tim Lam

sundownz
There is no way to keep the price the same. The frames cost about 2.5x more than the old frames, new cones are more, and the motors have an extra slug + extra steel. Either way -- the cost will simply scale directly with the build cost -- there won't be extra cost added "just because" it's a new product. 1 Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
SoCaLBaMF
What about the 18? Since it will still have the 6 spoke basket for now and eventually have the new tooled basket. Will it be cheaper than the other sized woofers for a while? With that in mind the price won't scale as it usually does; we'll have to see how it all lands. 2 Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
