Instead I'm gna build a center console, best part is its going to give me loads more room for voltage meters, switches, and hopefully a vu-din. I got a rough idea in my mind on how its gna look, but I still need to get a lot more measurements before I put pen to paper. 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding... Leo1103 Posted March 7, 2013 Author Report Posted March 7, 2013 well I did a bit of doodling last night trying to get a rough idea for the center console and heres what I came up with decided I liked it so I picked up some foam core today and traced out the seat and part of the cup holder/hvac Its all actual size so I can get a better Idea of what I can realistically fit and still have it looking good this is all I have planned for now goal is to find a way to have 2 vm-1's, 2 cup holders and some random switches. Basically I got 2 pieces of foam board and traced out my seats/ armrests on them. Then I connected the 2 pieces to make a mock center console. basic outline of the center console Starting to make the internal frame All done Hot gluing on the other side Threw the folding chairs in to get an idea of what it will look like And heres the current plan as far as placement of the stuff total cost of this was like 12 bux, much cheaper and easier to make than with mdf. plus now I can still tweak things if i need to and not worry about having to start over. 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding...
