Fatman489
Alright this is pretty simple .. is there any reason I should chose to not buy the dd1 hv and just go with the regular one ? I am thinking about buying one for myself for xmas so any inpit on this would be great ... thanks in advance DFAC Beating Down The Block 2013 Kenworth T-660 Studio Sleeper-The daily and Money maker I do what I want -push it till it pops! SnowDrifter
The only thing the high voltage one does is let you set the gain on larger/strapped amps. But in terms of functionality they both do the same thing equally well. You could save a couple bucks by getting the normal DD-1 if you won't be playing with large amps. That's about it. I've tested both at both low voltage and they perform identically ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Torres
but if that 15k is with multiple smaller amps rather than 1 big 15k amp, then the normal DD is what you'd want, unless they are strapped
