jeffrm
Thanks n8 and everyone else for the info. Now let me ask this question, my box now is the same size as the ones pictured, but with a 6.5in x 33.5in port that is 13.5in from face of box to the end of the port. Could I modify my box? Would it be better just to build all new? 03 tahoe z71 4 death penalty 18s 2 ampere audio 3800s @ .5 each 18v 156.7 @ 35hz 158.5 @ 50hz
n8ball2013
heres the best part. Can you afford to build a new one? If so why not. The worst part that happens is you end up with a new work stand for your garage. If it doesnt gain you put your old one back in. if you can afford it why not. jeffrm
I figure I can try to "re-tune " my port and see if it works. And worst case, I have to rebuild. Im just wondering if the size of the box is on the smaller side or if I do rebuild I should make the box a little bigger. 03 tahoe z71 4 death penalty 18s 2 ampere audio 3800s @ .5 each 18v 156.7 @ 35hz 158.5 @ 50hz
BobbyG2
That box should be about the right size for 3k in power, if not pick up an AQ/SA/Crescendo 3.5k and you'll be golden Hell, maybe an 4.5k. My two OA 15s laughed at my SAE 1200D in 7.5cu.ft. And the SAE1200 is like an underrated 1500watt amp. *New vehicle and system coming soon.*

SlamminBeats
n8, you have inspired me to design a drivers port box, that i do not have to build in my car!
