Watch the bass
Go with a XP 3000 if you want it as extra batt in the back, or a D 3100 if you want to hold all from your starter batt. SnowDrifter
IMO I wouldn't get the d3100 as a starter battery for under the hood use. The case isn't reinforced, so I'd question it holding up to the heat of the engine bay. You could get whatever XS battery you could fit under the hood that has a reinforced(ribbed) case and an xp3000 in the back. That would be pretty good IMO Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Hunters21w
Yes the D3100s are fine for under hood use, all of the D series are. The xp series are not. John C Leonard
Well I have a 2007 impala and the battery is in the front passenger quarter panel under a crossmember so I don't think a d3100 would fit to well under the hood anyway lol
corona_jeff
You need a 3400 up front and an Xp 2500 or xp3000 in rear
