jonathancullen89
alright i have looking around again for some new subwoofers, car recently broke but im going to be getting another one. all 4 of my 12" and my amp are going to be sold here soon to help get the car. but i cannot live without a little bass in the car. so i was looking at these subwoofers. i have heard that CV are good, i believe they have 18mm xmax from what i remember, 600 wrms. only thing i dont like about them is the 2.5" voice coil, but im not sure if that will affect anything. now i know FI's are good, i would be either getting one 18" ssd and if money allows one 18" Q. question is which would be louder. im thinking cone area FTW but im not sure, they will be seeing full power from a rockford amp that i will get after i decide which subs to go with. i prefer dual subwoofer setups over single, ive never had anything then a 12" in my car so this is a big upgrade for me lol. so are the vmax good? which is better. cone area ftw? thanks guys Quote 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-
PaulO2288
Cone Area BABY! If you had 4 12"s you would need 2 18"s to have more cone area.

PaulO2288
4 15"s or 4 18"s would be pretty sick! Absolutely
tejcurrent
^x2. I'd go with Fi over cv. SSDs or Qs would be great and wouldn't need a huge charging system. Quote tejcurrent XS Power T3
KAPONE.SS
I've heard Cerwin vega has fallen off and don't really make a good car audio subs. I'd go with Fi either ssd or q Quote 96 IMPALA SS Pioneer DEH-P8600MP H/U Pioneer TS-C160R 6.5" Pioneer TS-D690R 6x9" JBL GTO755.6II Stinger spdh-10 cap 100sqft. Decaf
ssd is a closer match the the vmax than the q but cerwinvega would be pwnd by FI, id say go with 2 15 fi ssd and get a rf 1500, something equivalent Edited January 29, 2008 by decafcappucino
