OrionStang Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 SOme of you may have seen, i'm having issues with my BNIB Sundown 125.2, with it cutting out for a second every 25-30 seconds. Now, it doesn't do it in the morning until its been playing for 20 minutes or so, then it starts and will do it all day until the next morning. Well, I just went to the carwash and on the way there it was doing it. Driving home, it did it a couple times, then I realized it had stopped cutting out. I even sat out in the car for half an hour playing full volume and it did not cut out. Could this be as simple as a weak solder joint on the board? Maybe it fixed itself via heat, like resetting the solder. Educated opinions only, please. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

IBleedMusick Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Looks like it might be time for Skar? :3 that was hilarious. Ken, there was a guy on here from SoCal that went to a place that's local to you guys that repaired one of his amps. I can't remember who it was but if I'm not mistaken the thread title was something to the extent of "Who's at fault here". 2013 Dodge Charger Build Log 1996 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0Build Log 2005 Honda Civic LX Coupe Build Log SMD SUPER SELLER!!!!My Selling Feedback

STEvil Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 does it cut out like its power cycling or cut out like a signal loss? MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
