Okay. Taking another break so it gives me some time to update. Glassed the wall, all the edges with multiple layers. And sanded it. That's done and overwith.

Car was dusty as sin. Leafblowers ftw. Got the baffle mounted and secured onto the box. So it's basically done.

Now I just need to seal off and foam the fuck out of this thing. Will do that after break.

About 10 hours of straight work on this thing today. Won't be stopping for a while \m/

not trying to be negative, but I don't see that being enough bracing on the sides. Maybe if it was double layered

idk it might be but if it was me i'd put more. You have tons of room on the outside of the box to add bracing

I will be. And its. Or being negative. Constructive criticism is welcomed. This wood is nice n strong but yes, 1 layer is a bit weak. Will be adding 2x4's to the outside but for right now my concern is sealing off. The top is sealed. Just need to do the sides and bottom. Making lots of progress with it.

stack 2x4s like mine is for exterior bracing.

most spots have a second layer as well.

I was thinking of putting them so they have the skinnier part of the 2x4 meeting the panel. Wouldnt it have less chance of flexing?

if you have room it will be stronger. basically like doing a double layer like this. I didnt necessarily have room to do it like that in all the spots. one layer is pretty strong 2 is retard strong. remember I have 10-12k on tap though.

Yeah. Fosho. Okay cool. Yeah I'll get around to that. I did all the duct tape work for sealing off the baffle. Then realized, the resin will most likely slide right off. Well shit.CSO I went out, got some double sided tape. And laying some strips of it over the layer of duct tape. Then gonna smack the glass mat on there to hold it while I glass it.

Well. It's been a 14 hour straight day on the car. Time to call it a night, only because parents are making me... Lol. Just laid down the first layer of glass on the seal. The doublesided tape worked like a charm, pretty happy.
