mbdblue
true carbon fiber is very strong. There should be no reason for it to crack....Although some companies use fiberglass and then just apply single layer of carbon fiber. SnowDrifter
Try asking Greg(captainstupid) on here. He works with carbon fiber, so he should be able to answer any questions ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
SnowDrifter
I'd just be worried specifically about the hatch, especially if you are doing a port back config. But as I said: ask Greg. He knows more about the stuff than I do ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

ThreehundredC
carbon fiber might actually be better as a trunk lid it will vibrate as one peice insted of rattling tin hitting eachother carbon fiber is VERY strong only thing ive seen is the gel coat(clearcoat) can crackle or spiderweb a little(on a ollld Honda) but the actual carbon fiber will stay strong
