REVOofRustler Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 Does your sub actually stop playing? And it's smelling because you're trying to play too far below tuning... 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 club cab - Sold 2004 Audi S4 Avant - Fi and Crescendo - Stock Bose System - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147725-2002-dodge-dakota-end-of-the-road/?hl=%202002%20%20dakota 136.4 Sealed @ 29hz 137.0 Drivers window open @ 26hz

zxsonnyxz Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 Box doesn't look to bad. If you blew up your subwoofer, you're overpowering it. How does your amp setup look? And how is it adjusted? vw passat Posted February 3, 2013 Author Report Posted February 3, 2013 gain half way lpf i think it's about 80hz and bassboost full i set it with the dd-1
Guest Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 you fucked up the woofer. likely from playing under tuning too loudly. in combination with an improperly set subsonic filter. this is literally the like 4th time i said that port area and port area per foot tell you the same exact fucking thing. you dont have to include them both every single time. read what i write, ffs.
Guest Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 bassboost full? why? thats utterly pointless. turn that crap back to 0. retune with dd-1. guarantee you're clipping the shit out of the woofer with the boost that high. even if you did tune with the dd-1
vw passat Posted February 3, 2013 Author Report Posted February 3, 2013 im new to build boxes Kranny so i need to make another box tuned lower? and about the port area and port area per foot i cannot understand and what about my net volume? tx
vw passat Posted February 3, 2013 Author Report Posted February 3, 2013 ok Kranny i will turn back the bassboost to 0
Joe X Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 yes it stops i need to make recon now so what i need to do abot the box i dont have enough port area, port area per foot and net volume? Post a sketch of your box specifying the length of the port parts.
