How to acheive multi-monitor like steves last set up

Now, I know how to do the traditional dual monitor set up, with the extra video ports. But how do you achieve it like his, where you have multiple monitors, covering a single screen persay, like he does.

You could do NVIDIA SLI or ATI Crossfire.

Both, And yes, I mean 3 monitors to a single stretched screen. Does anyone know of any external hardware that could do this for a gaming console?

Consoles can't do multiple monitors. They are currently limited to single monitors at a max resolution of 1920x1080. If you want a higher resolution or more screens you have to go with a computer with a fairly high-end graphics card.

What about dual play? Like blops2? What is that? That sounds like 2 screens one for each player.

It's just not feasible for it to be done on a console. Games like Forza 3 and 4 are able to do multiple displays, but that's with one console for each display. I would assume it would be the same thing for the terrible CoD game you mentioned. Current consoles are no where near powerful enough to support multiple displays.
If you want to do a setup like he has in his video you are going to need to go with a 2nd or 3rd gen i7 CPU (i5 could work, but i7 would be preferred) you'll need a motherboard that supports 2, 3, or even four way SLI/Crossfire and I would recommend nothing less than two AMD 7970s in Crossfire (budget option) or two Nvidia GTX 680s in SLI. This will allow you to run three displays at a resolution of 5760x1080 (before bezel correction) at max or close to max graphics settings. 8GB of DDR3, a case with good airflow to keep temps down, a 800+watt PSU, and a SSD would also be highly recommend for the best experience.

Considering that running three TVs like in his setup is quite expensive, you will want three monitors. 23 inches would be fine for the size. Make sure you look for monitors with an IPS panel rather than TN, they're worth the price increase. AMD also currently has the upper hand in running multi-montior setups like this on the software side. Running it on Nvidia cards takes much more effort from the user and for most games a work around. His 690s are great, and I'm a huge Nvidia fan. But for my current setup running at 5760x1080 for games with a 55" Samsung active 3D TV at 1920x1080 for web browsing/movies (so running a total of four displays) I went with three AMD Diamond 7970s in Crossfire for the software advantages.

Lol, that is the exact build I would do two. 2 7970's, two SSD's if I can in either Raid 1 or 0. I would like more than 8gb of ram, I have that on this laptop, and while dualmonitoring and multitasking I can get this thing to get quite a bit of stress. Never hit it's limit but I would say 85% at the most. I want to get a i7 and get triple channel RAM to really utilize the i7's techonolgy. I tried to make a couple set ups but couldn't find good matchs with a i7, 2 PCI 3.0 slots, triple channel ram, and more pci slots for wireless card, audio, and the raid controller.
