Im curious as I am going to be purchasing two FI Qs and currently have a Hifonics BRZ2400.1

I'm not entirely sure how well i will only like 2400 watts to them, especially after impedance and box rise. they'll be in a 3.45 cubic ported box as it is the largest i can make. would i be able to run a BRZ1700.1 and Brz2400.1 together? I know i can run two BRZ2400.1s but dont know if that would be too much? opinions?

Seeing as they're rated for 1.5k I think you'll be fine. And no, if they are in the same box, use the same amps.

Prepare yourself for some costly electrical upgrades, and for the box try to use aero ports to see if you can increase a bit your net volume, the Fi subs would take the power but unless you have sustained 14.4V you won't be seeing 2400W per sub at all.

If you're gonna dish out the cash for two Fi Q's, I say save up a bit more and get an amp that can bush both of them. I've got my fully loaded Q12 on a BC2000D at .7 ohms nominal and it takes it all day.

I currently have a Kinetik 2400 so im sure if i got another BRZ2400 I would get another Kinetik 2400 for it as well *sigh*

I wont be getting addons for the FI Qs but maybe cooling. My initial thoughts were 2 SA12s on the 2400 but seeing as though its twice what they are rated for and the potential of maybe upgrading later, i wanted some headroom. and as far as saving up some more, I dont want to sell the BRZ2400 i have, as i JUST got it and installed it :-/ and as far as linking them to 2 ohms, i would have to get two of the 2ohm DVC (vs 2 1ohm DVCs) and wouldnt ever have the option of wiring them to a ohm load. :( what would be the best face to face my subs?

1. Not enough clearance to fire upwards,

2. at least 1 seat is always down, usually the 60( of the 60/40 split)

3. and its in a 2010 malibu (practically eliminates noise from inside and outside, lots of sound deadening).

4. is there an easy way to seal off the trunk from the cabin if facing toward the seats?

5. I occasionally have passengers in the back also (in regard to #4)
