AI James
Ok, thank you. I was also told by a "authorized" repair facility not to use a dd-1 on a Sundown or I would void his warranty on the work he did. So if you dont tell them you used a dd1 how do they know you used a device that just measures input and output...Its not like its feeding the amp anything? n8ball2013
What I think happened is that when these individuals were asked hwo they tuned they said with a dd-1 and they probably havent even seen it. I know far too many people who use them, me included that have no issues whatsoever. It caught fire on this topic because people were doing what they had to do to get their amps warranty repaired and not have to come out of pocket. 1 Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. It caught fire on this topic because people were doing what they had to do to get their amps warranty repaired and not have to come out of pocket. This right here is the EXACT reason why I will let anyone use my DD-1, CC-1 or IM-SG to tune their equipment and walk them through it. Read the manual word-by-word to them as they do the tweaking, but I will not touch their equipment. They must do all the turning of knobs or whatever else they are working on themselves. Seems all to quickly once someone drives away and you have no idea what they do after they are gone that people will do whatever it takes to save their own "rear axles!" I am not going to have them knocking on my door blaming me for anything. Sucks that things have to get like that, but that is the same reason why I stopped doing "side jobs" for friends. I had an ex-buddy try to make me pay to have his car repainted after I painted it and he rear-ended another car and the only thing that happened to his was some paint chipping and a small dent. Tried to say I didn't paint it right if the paint chipped. The old saying really holds true....a few bad apples spoil it for everyone. Quote Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! Its all lovely until a year later and the window stops rolling up or something totally unrelated...and its ALWAYS your fault. Fuck that. It really is amazing what people will try to do to pass the buck onto someone else. I have had the pleasure of listening to some of the "complaints" our company gets on our products.....absolutely blows my mind what people try to do to get things for free, or make a buck! bigirb2002
how are dd1`s messing up amps? i have used mine in alot amps from cheap to expensive amps and i never had any issues. i went to a local car show and i pulled out my dd1 showing a friend and people at the comp had me set there amps with it everyone was happy. so whoever "claims" the dd1 screwed there amps are totally bogus user error.the only amp i couldnt tune was a warhorse and after researching the warhorse i found out y.
