DubNDodge
Well I knew that if I was to seal off and secure the box to the car that I would have HUGE issues spraying glue onto the sides of the box. So I did that first. Layed down news paper to cut down on overspray. Marked on each side of box where the side panels ended. Then transfered that to the carpet. This way I would know where to stop spraying the glue so that I wouldn't have issues putting the side panel back on. Left side Right I then wanted to put weather striping around where the box was going to be touching. I then realized it was going to raise the box too much. LOL Hmm, the car jack was useful for something Jacked up the box to put the weather stripping on, which was ripped off 5 mins later. Put masking tape down for the foam. Put the sides back on and put some of the foam rod caulking around the edges. I used lock washers under the bolts. First time using them and holy crap! I stripped out a screw and tried to back it out. Dug into the sheet metal like no other. foam foam foam foam I still have some touching up to do. But that was one bottle used. Will have to get another and fill in the bit up top and misc holes in the deck. Started to trace the cardboard onto mdf. I tacked it down with a staple gun so I wouldn't have to fight it lol. DubNDodge
Exhausted. Worked right after school till 11, no breaks lol.. snackin now Worked on the big 3. Wondering what the hell I was smoking when I planned out where the wires were going. I eventually figured it out. Stock next to D925. The XS power weighs a good 5 pounds more than stock. It was rather impressive considering how much smaller it is. Lame stock terminal is lame. Snipped that off and soldered 4ga ring terminals onto 8ga wire(stock) I used the trick that I used when doing my 1/0 earlier. Had to have my Dad hold the wire in pliers while I soldered it. Stock battery is still useful after all. I made a battery rack so the front battery would slide around, ground out and blow up. I didn't want my fuse holder to move around that much, so I made a mount for it somewhat. I dado-ed (i believe its the right term) the wood to the correct depth. DubNDodge
I also shaved down the foam from yesterday. I then filled in all the other misc. holes. Good thing I did because a few I didn't realize went down into to trunk. It is now 98% sealed off. This is where I will be grounding at in the rear. Kidding. It is just the hole for when I drill through tomorrow. I needed a pilot hole Here is the hole on the outside, and the bolt I will be grounding to. And these are what took so damn long. Trying to get them to fit just right. They still don't fit, but I wanted to get 80% of the cutting done because I am tired of mdf dust being where mdf dust shouldn't be.
