Damaging an SA on low power indicates clipping or it is wired wrong. Unless its set at 10hz that shouldn't be a problem exactly if it is set at 12 o clock and the LPF is set at 12 oclock or so then both filters would be taking away most of the signal leaving him with shitty sounding bass and not loud. both filters may even overlap if they can. You are on the right track with the singer alt..extra battery and sundown subs..pioneer headunit..where you fall short is the amp...my old BRZ1200 i had to almost max the gain out to get anything out of it(even if it was clipping i didn't care at the time)....I would ditch the amp and order a sundown 1500..or even a used AQ2200 or Crescendo BC2200... Just my two cents Also your encolsure will make a huge difference.. kirill007 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 I just went by a shop I went to a while back and they got my sound back right my frequency high enough to pick up more lows and adjusted my gains as well.these lil subs are slammin!!my left door Fallin to pieces and screws are flying out of my 6x9s..this 80prs sucks for highs and mids my Jensen picked up on my 4 channel better then this pioneer I may have to put my eq in here to add some voltage to fix this If Jensen sounds better to you then the pioneer 80prs, then something is seriously wrong. 1 Quote Thinking is the root of all problems...
