Hellbilly429 Posted February 26, 2013 Author Report Posted February 26, 2013 Yeah, I am using head unit power for the speakers until I can afford an amp and better electrical to run another amp in the car. And I meant that the rca out on the back isn't a sub out and I have no ability to increase/decrease the gain for the rca pre-out from the deck, this is like a $90 deck that I picked up a few years ago when my last deck died and I was strapped for cash. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

Most decks put out 14W RMS per channel to each speaker, you can put 1000@2 ohms to the sub, you can't expect too much musicality setup like that.
skittlesRgood Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 is the RCA out on the deck set to "sub"? there is usually a setting for that. please correct me if wrong, but even if an rca output on the deck is labeled 'sub' doesn't it still put out the same signal as the normal rca output? no If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. Hellbilly429 Posted February 26, 2013 Author Report Posted February 26, 2013 I understand what your saying joe, but my complaint is really just about the subwoofer output with anything other than rap, I already know why my speakers suck, slowly but surely building her up 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
teamace24 Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 Im guessing theres a crossover problem somewhere in your setup where you are losing some frequencies. Download the manual for your radio and dig deep in there for sub settings and filters. 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31

Hellbilly429 Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 ah, gotcha joe, I am just afraid my alternator can't keep up as it is and can't afford to upgrade it yet, but still gotta do the big 3 but haven't done it yet due to time and the fact that my stock battery location is in my trunk. I will have to download the manual for this deck sometime and play with that too 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

Hellbilly429 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 Ok, well I just upgraded the battery from stock to optima yellowtop, I work at Autozone PT so I got it at a decent price. I have the 0 Gauge wire to do the big 3, just need the lugs and the time to do it, but it will be done soon. Not to pester you anymore, but thoughts on this amp? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23877_MB-Quart-ONX4.60.html Read good things, is in my price range right now and does 60w x 4 rms at 4 ohms like you just suggested. Again, appreciate the help guys 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
Joe X Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 The MB Quart ONX4.60 is a nice good sounding amp, definitely one of the better options for the price.
