Wiring A Dual 1 Ohm Sub Question

well i just picked up the BTLs from Ernesto...

they are dual 1 ohm subs

now if i wire one of them to 2 ohms will that work on an amp that is only 2 ohm stable or is it gunna be less than 2ohms and im gunna end up needing a 1 ohm stable amp

i plan on running one sub per amp

type-r comps all around

(2) 18" Fi BTLs fully loaded

11 cu ft. vented box 34hz

no u can wire it up to 2 ohm and be fine

what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder :ehh: hahah jk :pardon:

IIRC the actual impedance is somewhere around .7 per coil. If that is the case then you might be slightly under 2ohms at times. You should be okay unless the amps youre running have really sensitive protection curcuitry..

i hope these amps dont if they do i guess its sell them and buy some new amps to run them
