i dont like a pillars in these. unless you are doing a 4 inch comp set they have to be built out too far for my taste. but my taste is subtle changes that could lookfactory

Yeah you're definitely right, they look bulky as hell. Keep it all in door, just double up on sets. Two sets per door should get pretty nasty

I was thinking about cutting wood to mount onto the metal. giving them a little more room for depth and maybe doing some cutting to the panel that covers it. I think the hardest part will be making the bottem of the speaker fit into that hole
