Fatman489
Alright so I was just thinking about random stuff and this came to mind so i just wanted to ask and see what you guys think. What effects negative and positive would running subs on a different plane of the box for instance 2 subs firing forward and 2 subs firing up and port also up ... or port in different location .. just out of pure curiosity .. discuss :-) DFAC Beating Down The Block 2013 Kenworth T-660 Studio Sleeper-The daily and Money maker I do what I want -push it till it pops! CleanSierra
I would think wave cancellation is what you'd run into. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

bkolfo4
I ran this and did just shy of 150 with only 3000 watts. And those are cheap $30 subs. bassfreake
I thought cancelation was really only a problem if you have some subs inside the box and some outside the box and don't compensate for phase problems Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Wizzy
I've had a 4 12" sub 2 subs firing up, 2 firing back and port back in my car. It sounded great. The subs were Jensen xs1212. It did 146 db on 600 watts rms. Here is a pic. I had another box for these subs a regular one subs up port back and wasn't that loud.
bkolfo4
Isn't that a sealed box? Yes it is, but we already know that people love running subs up, port rear in SUVs, so ported on different planes is not a problem. Low bass sound waves are really long. Cancelations and nulls in a vehicle don't occur as often as people seem to think. . .
