wmrcs
Well that gain is yuck. I've noticed on heavy clipping my lows sound nasty. Also I'd turn the SSF a little lower.. hard to get it exact but maybe even just turn it off with that sub/amp combo.. E34 540iT/
wmrcs
Also, try comparing the sound with windows down and windows open. A lot of people get louder and lower with windows down.. E34 540iT/

bassfreake
2 6" in a 7cuft box? Doesn't that come out to maybe 7 or 8 for port per foot? iirc when i tried 2 6" in a 3.5 gross it came to like 16 port per foot i think so for a 7 that would put it about half that or 8 right? That might cut your volume down a bit... As far as your lows having the amp cut stuff below 30 i can imagine would probably hurt your getting low since can't the human ear hear down to 20? Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. You port to come area, tuning frequency and Xmax, not box volume. Two 6" ports is probably sufficient for that sub. The box might be too damn big? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
KiKaZz74
Its not really clipping tho. I know bad way to do it but I play like 10-15 mins if cap is kinda warm I back off on volume. But it doesn't seem like its clipping. And its a little louder with windows down. Metered 137.3 sealed 138.5 I think window down. It foesnt seem to affect the lows. Does on everything else tho. Like put on/on my level that low note sounds like flapping and I just hear air leaking which might be a problem But for an 18 I'm expecting hard hitting thump and be able to hear it from like 25-28 up to atleast 65 and have power behind it. Ill turn ssf off tho. Anyone else wanna see if I'm right on my cubes just to see? And how would I kill some volume then? KiKaZz74
All but face and sub hole are caulked from inside. I need to put something around sub cuz I hear a pffffft noise on lows and thumps. But lows have never been there from start. sweendog
Just curious how do you know you're not clipping? 3/4 gain on a brz 1700.1D sounds like it would be clipping to me.
