Ok so i have 4 Obsidian Audio 18's all Dual 4 ohms. Had 2 Planet Audio BB2400.1 hooked up to them strapped at 2 ohms. I want to go with 2 Crescendo Audio BC2200. I dont have electrical to run at .5 ohm. I have mechman 200 amp alt and 2 xs d3100 in back. i would like to go with 1 big amp but most amps are better at 1 ohm or lower. any suggestions?

My question is:

You don't have the electrical for a 2200 @.5 you said let's say that's 275a max

But you want an amp that like 500a ?

Imo an aq or soundq 3500 would be fine. If you have 2 3100s plus the starter bat and 200a alt. You should be decent.

You could run a 5k or 4500 and be oook not great but you should be ok just be smart about it.

Edit I'm sorry I misread that.

You have two 2200s..

Gotcha well yea then you'd have to get a 5k amp or better so the aq is out.

You might not even notice tooo much difference with a 5k though.. ehh maybe.

I say get two 3500s but you'd ideally need more batts. That'd be a worthwhile dif imo

With 4 dual 4 subs you have .5 or 2 ohm obvi. So 1 5k at .5 vs 2 3500s at 1ohm prolly be pretty close. I'm torn lol. I bet your seeing around 3500w with the two 2ks at 1ohm. Wanna clamp em and see?

BB2400.1's on average clamp around 2000w each @ 1ohm. I've heard most people end up right around 2100.

I had mine strapped to 2 Fi N2's and they were doing some serious work, so it must be close to 4k strapped.
